Introduction
The Cascada AN-water System is fed with partially purified water. The unit produces extremely high ultrapure water for critical laboratory applications suitable for all analytical and pharmaceutical applications.
The product water conforms to BS3978/ISO 3696 Grade 1 specification.

Method
A Cascada AN-water System was fed with water from a Cascada RO-water System with a conductivity of 42 µS/cm and a TOC of 50 ppb C. The unit was operated intermittently and product water dispensed to simulate typical use patterns. Resistivity was logged online using a Thornton 200CR meter. Samples were taken for silica analysis and absorbance measurements at various times.
Samples were analyzed for silica by ICP-MS using a PlasmaQuad 3.
